6th Ward Teams Up for Haitian Earthquake Relief
(ST. LOUIS) – This Wednesday, the Sixth Ward Democratic Organization, Alderman Kacie Starr Triplett (D-6th Ward) and Van Goghz Martini Bar and Bistro will partner to host an event in support of the Haitian recovery process after last week’s devastating earthquake. Funds raised at the event will benefit Meds & Food for Kids and For His Glory Adoption Outreach, two organizations dedicated to serving small children in Haiti.
“Last week’s earthquake in Haiti reminds us all of our common humanity,” Triplett said. “When our brothers and sisters suffer, we all suffer. This event will help bring healing and relief to those who have experienced such terrible tragedy, by sharing the one thing most vital to their immediate recovery: money.”
Wednesday’s benefit will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m at Van Goghz (3200 Shenandoah Avenue). Triplett is alderman of the 6th Ward in St. Louis. She currently serves as the youngest elected official in the city of St. Louis, and represents part of downtown St. Louis and several south St. Louis neighborhoods.
