My campaign will officially announce the “launch” of my campaign site in a few hours. I am extremely excited about having the blog format for the website. I enjoy pushing the envelope and I think this does so. I am not sure if any other aldermanic candidates have done blogs in the past, but I am going to venture and say that I am the first. I probably wouldn’t have done an unconventional blog format if it were not for Steve Patterson www.urbanreviewstl.com. I remember thinking about it briefly, and then happened to see Steve at a birthday party, who talked about how I should do it, etc. I think it is a great idea, and I am looking forward to keeping the voters and any other political observers up to date with my campaign. I am not the most tech savvy, so you will have to excuse the oversized pictures, and I have yet to figure out if there is a spell check on this thing, so excuse any typos. Feel free to post any comments on ways to improve the site or tips to make the format easier to view. I’m looking forward to keeping things fresh with this blog. I know the 6th Ward race is going to be a very interesting race to watch. In the past I have been like most political junkies, following contested races closely, and here I am, right in the midst of one…(chuckle!) . Enjoy the blog, and I look forward to keeping you updated on news in the 6th Ward and all my fun campaign events!

It is nice to see the younger demographic is taking a run at the city legislative branch. I am very happy to see that you are embracing technology while many of the older generation are still using typewriters. No doubt many things will continue to change in St. Louis. Good luck with your campaign!
